For ureic patients, it becomes necessary to provide all essential amino acids within the restricted protein intake. At times, it becomes a challenge therefore to combat this issue, Steadfast Medishield has launched a tablet by the name of aplazar. Aplazar contains all essential amino acids in the form of calcium salts. It comes with the benefits of aminos like isoleucine, leucine, phenylalanine, valine, methionine, lysine, threonine, tryptophan, histidine and tyrosine. The benefit of giving these amino is that they are formulated in a alpha ketoanalogue form. The benefit of giving alpha ketoanalogue form is that they do not put any extra load of nitrogen on the kidneys.
Aplazar also helps in maintaining nitrogen and calcium balance. They exert a favourable effect on calcium and phosphorus metabolism without inducing malnutrition. Also, alpha ketoanalogue forms slow down the progression of end stage renal disease (ESRD). They reduce urinary protein excretion. Medical management of a kidney patient having diabetes is also a challenge. Aplazar can contribute in managing the condition to some extent. Aplazar can be used to improve or correct diabetes associated metabolic disturbances in type 2 diabetes.
It enables a good glycemic control in type 1 diabetes mellitus as well. This medication also be used as a predialysis medicine. This is due to the reason that it prevents kidney disease from getting worse and delays the initiation of dialysis. Aplazar should preferably be given with meals and it should be given carefully or stopped if the person has phenylketonuria. Since aplazar contains aminos in calcium salts therefore it can also help manage hypocalcemia. But in case of hypercalcemia, this drug can either be stopped or dosage should be reduced. Depending upon the weight of the person, the dosage of aplazar should be prescribed. Generally four to eight tablets, three times per day is advisable.
